How It All Started
Of all places, Chris Faber and Chris Mullen met in a college dorm nestled between Colorado’s rugged mountain peaks. Their dorm was surrounded by fast-moving rapids, which became the backdrop for their friendship and a passion they couldn’t shake. Chris Faber had began rafting in high school, but it was Chris Mullen’s curiosity and adventurous spirit that sealed the deal.
After years of instructing and seeing the spark light up in people’s eyes as they conquered the rapids, they wanted to connect anyone—and everyone—to the stoke and flow that comes with riding the river. What bothered them was how confusing and inaccessible rafting could be for beginners.
There wasn’t a clear, simple way for people to book a trip, feel prepared, and show up ready to make memories. So, they made it their mission to change that. They built Worldwide Rafting Co. as a bridge—not just to the river—but to a world of adventure where anyone, regardless of experience, could dive into the thrill of whitewater rafting with confidence.
Their vision is simple: to get more people laughing, paddling, and making connections on the river.
Meet The Founders
Chris Mullen
Co-Founder
Chris Mullen grew up sailing and surfing on the California coast. After moving to Colorado for college, he still wanted to chase some water and was introduced to whitewater by Chris Faber. Ever since then, he hasn’t looked back. Chris loves getting out on the river in any way, shape or form, but his favorite way is in a kayak.

In the summer going into his senior year of high school, Chris went on the first rafting trip of his life. Floating through the Deso Gray section of the Green River, a love was forged.
Before, during, and after his 4 years at Colorado State University where he met his friend, roommate, and cofounder, Chris guided on Clear Creek in Idaho Springs, Colorado. Now based in the Florida Keys, Chris has found new ways to enjoy the water including sailing, wakeboarding, and kitesurfing. However, whitewater still holds his heart. Chris still finds time to go on weekend getaways and chase the water in whichever way he can.
